Our firm is very proud that our Director, Damian Brogden, was the recipient of the J.B. and J.W. Calder Award during 2020. The award is presented annually by the Surveyors Board of South Australia to members of the Surveying profession for their contributions and high achievements in the profession.

The Calder Award was established by the Surveyors Board in 1989. Damian was presented with the Award at the Annual General Meeting of the Institution of Surveyors Australia, South Australian Division (ISASA) in September 2020.

Damian was recognised for his services to the surveying profession including for his contributions to Consulting Surveyors South Australia and the Australian Consulting Surveyors Insurance Society as well as for his earlier involvement in professional organisations including the Association of Consulting Surveyors and the Spatial Industry Business Association.

Surveyors have played a crucial role in the ever-evolving history of Australia – in our own state of South Australia prominent surveyors like Colonel William Light and George W. Goyder come readily to mind. Sawley Lock O’Callaghan is very proud of the role that Damian has played in supporting the surveying profession and we congratulate him on being the recipient of the esteemed Calder Award.
